Pakistan Muslim League (N) Overseas central secretary General Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has said that the silence of rulers over closure of water by India comes in definition of cowardice. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that if the rulers of atomic Pakistan can't raise voice on this issue of the national importance, they should quit power. He said the people of four provinces are protesting on the closure of rivers' water but the rulers were keeping themselves mum over it. He said that the country's agriculture with the stoppage of water by Indian would ruin, having negative impact on the national economy. He said not only the human beings but also the animals, birds and even tress can't live without water, therefore, the Pakistan government should protest against it on every forum including UNO.
Kaiser Mehmood further said that the government should also take appropriate steps to stop wastage of water and in this regard an awareness campaign on national level should be launched through electronic and print media. He said the water should be used for agriculture in a way to save it from wastage and in this regard the drip irrigation system should be introduced in the country. He said new water reservoirs should be constructed for storing the rainwater and later using for the national purposes
